  • Chairs on Display at Barnes & Noble Next Week

If you want to take a close look at the chairs created recently by Fay students, here's your chance. During the winter, ninth grade students from Mr. Dixon's Creators Class collaborated with first graders to design customized reading chairs out of corrugated cardboard. The chairs were designed to support each child's preferred reading position, and there was room for a little personal style as well. The chairs will be on display at the Barnes & Noble in Millbury on Wednesday, April 25, from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. David Dixon will also be speaking at the store on Thursday, April 26, from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.

  • Make sure you receive automated notifications of school cancellations

    1. Before the start of the new school year, please make sure that we have your family's current contact information so that you will receive the weekly E-News about what's happening at Fay and details about upcoming events and trips that your child will take part in. When we have accurate email and phone information, teachers and advisors can communicate with your quickly and directly, and our Health Office can let you know if your child becomes ill at school. If school has to be cancelled due to weather conditions, we can let you know before you leave home.

Please log into MyFay, go to your profile, and update your contact information (email, phone, home address) if needed.

In order to receive an automated notification of school cancellations, delayed openings, and unannounced early dismissals, each student's emergency contact phone numbers must be accurate. Please CLICK HERE and follow the steps listed to confirm that your child's emergency contact phone numbers are accurate.

Please contact Director of Technology Joe Adu if you have any questions about how to update your child's emergency contact phone numbers. Joe can be reached at jadu@fayschool.org.

  • Freedom From Chemical Dependency Program for Grade Seven Students and Parents on May 1

On Tuesday, May 1, grade seven students will attend a Freedom from Chemical Dependency (FCD) program from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Primary School Multi-Purpose Room. Please note the new location for this event. This program is included in the seventh grade wellnesss curriculum and is always well-received by students and parents. This will be a "no homework" evening for seventh grade students.

Attendance by all seventh graders and local parents is required for this event, and our boarding students will be accompanied by faculty members. Following the FCD presentation, the evening will conclude with a question and answer session that often generates excellent topics for follow-up discussions between students and their parents and teachers. Please contact Heidi Qua, Wellness Department Chair, at hqua@fayschool.org if you have any questions about this event.

  • Secondary School Counseling Seminar Next Tuesday

Parents of seventh and eighth grade students are invited to the Secondary School Counseling Seminar next Tuesday, April 24. The seminar will take place from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Root Meeting Room. Fay's secondary school counseling team will explain the nuts and bolts of Fay’s secondary school counseling process, and then answer questions that parents may have regarding such issues as the importance of finding the right "match" between the student and the secondary school, how to prepare your child to be as attractive an applicant as possible, and the strategic advantages and disadvantages of applying in the eighth grade versus the ninth grade year.

Parents who would like to attend the seminar but are unable to do so should feel free to schedule a time to talk with a secondary school counselor who will be able to review the topics covered in the seminar and answer questions. Parents of domestic students should contact Kate Pingeon at 508-490-8357 or kpingeon@fayschool.org. Parents of international students should contact Josh Pierson at 508-490-8216 or jpierson@fayschool.org.
