Secondary School Counseling

Making the Best Match for Each Student

Our commitment to helping students realize their full potential begins when one enrolls at Fay and culminates in the student’s eighth or ninth grade year with the transition to high school. Finding the best match for each student is of critical importance.

The Fay Secondary School Counseling Office values its longstanding, close relationships with admission officers from varied secondary schools, and Fay's counselors visit secondary school campuses on a regular basis. Furthermore, each year, admission representatives from more than 75 secondary schools come to Fay to meet with Fay ninth graders and/or Fay counselors.

The vast majority of Fay School graduates attend independent secondary schools. Fay's secondary school counselors work with students, their families, their advisors, coaches, and teachers in identifying each student’s strengths, talents, and challenges. Starting in the eighth grade and continuing throughout the entire application process, the Secondary School Counseling Office gives ongoing counsel and guidance in selecting and applying to appropriate schools. Fay students are highly regarded by secondary schools. Our graduates are known to be confident, capable, enthusiastic students. In addition, they are highly involved in extracurricular activities as well as service-oriented pursuits on and off campus. As a result, Fay students have an excellent record of acceptance at secondary schools. Fay students utilizing Fay's Secondary School Counseling Office have matriculated at the following schools during the past five years (2013-2017):
