Welcome New Students 2025

New Student Checklist - Day Students

Welcome to Fay School!

Congratulations on your child’s acceptance to Fay—we can’t wait for your family to join our community! Though September may seem far in the future, it will be here before you know it! Here’s a checklist of what to expect in the coming months.
March
  • Celebrate your child’s acceptance to Fay!
  • Sign and return the enrollment contract and submit your deposit by April 10. Your child is not fully enrolled until both the signed contract and deposit are returned to Fay. Details and deadlines are in the email with the link to the enrollment contract.
  • Explore our website to learn more about life at Fay! Check out the News channel
on our home page (fayschool.org), and our Families page (fayschool.org/families), which includes announcements, links to helpful resources, and contact information for school leaders.
  • You’ll receive the first of many  What’s New at Fay? updates about some of our favorite curricular projects.
  • Follow our social media accounts for photos and updates on school events and campus life:
    Facebook (Fay School - Southborough)
    Instagram (instagram.com/fayschoolma)
    YouTube (youtube.com/fayschoolma)
April
  • Indicate your interest in bus transportation. Fay offers morning bus transportation to families for an additional fee. You can click here to see our routes for the current school year. Each year, we evaluate the demand and feasibility for bus transportation, and we adjust routes and stops to accommodate interested families as best we can. If you are interested in a bus stop being added to your area for the 2025-2026 school year, please let us know by filling out the form in the email sent in late April.
  • Visit our Welcome New Students webpage, at fayschool.org/welcomenewstudents. This web page provides answers to commonly-asked questions as well as helpful information about requesting programs of study and accessing required summer reading and math work. This page will serve as a useful source of information and will be regularly updated between now and the start of the school year. Be sure to review the academic calendar and note key dates, including student arrivals and departures for vacations.
  • Set up your Blackbaud Tuition Management account and make Blackbaud Tuition Management payments.
  • Request programs of study for the 2025-2026 school year. Program request forms and course information will be shared for grades three through nine on Monday, April 28.
  • Read the April issue of Fay’s New Family E-News.

May

  • Send first of your ten monthly tuition payments if you have registered for the ten-month payment plan.
  • Read the May issue of Fay’s New Family E-News.

June
  • Submit your child’s final transcript. Remind your current school to send a copy of your child’s final report card directly to admission@fayschool.org as soon as it is available.
  • Complete required summer reading and math work. You can find information about the required work for your student’s grade at the Welcome New Students webpage.
  • Families will receive login instructions for Veracross. The Veracross Parent/Guardian Portal is where we keep information about students' attendance, schedules, and grade reports, as well as the Fay family and faculty directories. Veracross is also where you submit your child's required medical information and forms using the Magnus Health Forms portal. Health forms may be uploaded after June 15 and must be completed by August 1. Students with incomplete health records will be unable to attend classes in September.
  • Schedule your child’s physical exam and upload your child’s health forms. All families are required to upload health forms to Magnus, our secure health records portal. A list of required immunizations may be viewed here. Please be aware that all medical reports must be submitted and approved before your child will be allowed on campus this fall, and that all forms must be submitted in English.
  • Purchase school supplies. The supply list for your child’s grade will be available at the Welcome New Students webpage.
  • Read the June issue of the Fay E-News.

July
  • Make sure all health forms are uploaded to the Magnus Health portal before August 1.
  • Be on the lookout for welcome letters from the Head of Upper School and the Director of Residential Life for students in grades 7-9 and our boarders.
  • Read the July issue of the Fay E-News, which will include helpful information about the start of school, including a link to the Student and Family Handbook.
  • Keep checking the Welcome New Students webpage for the latest information and updates (fayschool.org/welcomenewstudents).
