Next Steps and Recent Updates

List of 6 items.

  • Bus Transportation for 2025-2026

Registration for bus transportation for the 2025-2026 school year is open and due on Monday, June 2. After evaluating the demand for bus transportation, we will be offering a single morning route with stops in Chestnut Hill, Wellesley, and Natick. Click here to view the route and click here to register. Once you register, bus fees will be billed in three equal installments (due July 15, December 15, and March 15) and will appear on Blackbaud Tuition Management invoices. Because we plan routes based on actual demand prior to the start of the school year, bus fees are non-refundable. Click here to learn more about bus fees and to view the 2025-2026 rates. Questions? Contact Sam Renshaw at 508-490-8247 or srenshaw@fayschool.org.
  • Families Association Volunteer Opportunities

Are you wondering how parents and guardians get involved at Fay? The Fay Families Association is already planning for next year, and we would love your help! If you want to volunteer at Fay next year, please fill out the form linked here.
  • Primary and Lower School Families: Please Join Us for a Popsicle Playdate on June 11

Kick off your summer with a popsicle on our Lower School playground on Wednesday, June 11, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. At this event, you'll have the opportunity to meet other new families and students who are entering Fay in Kindergarten through grade 6, as well as some current parents, students, teachers, and administrators. Siblings are welcome. Click here to RSVP and contact  Jennifer Rosenberg at jrosenberg@fayschool.org or 508-490-8201 with any questions.
  • Summer Math for Students Entering Grades One Through Nine

Just as an athlete or musician can quickly fall out of shape without practice, so do young mathematicians. Students entering grades one through nine in September should keep their math muscles in shape this summer. Please visit the Summer Math page on our website for information and summer math work at each grade level.
  • Summer Reading Lists

Grade level summer reading lists for students entering Kindergarten through grade nine in September 2025 are now available on the Summer Reading webpage.
  • Extended Fay Registration: AM and PM Care

As part of the Extended Fay program, we are pleased to offer AM Care (7:00 - 7:40 am) and PM Care (3:00 - 6:00 pm) to all students in Kindergarten through grade nine free of charge. Please read the following guidelines as you make your plans for the fall:
    • If you know that you will have regular, recurring childcare needs on a weekly basis, please sign up for the full term in advance.
    • If you need to schedule a single AM Care or PM Care session, please do so no less than three business days before the requested session.
The Extended Fay program includes AM and PM care, clubs for Kindergarten - Grade 4, vacation camp, and conference care. In the coming weeks, we will be sharing information about fall enrichment clubs for Kindergarten - Grade 4, which will be available for an additional fee. Contact Sam Renshaw, Director of Auxiliary Programs, at srenshaw@fayschool.org with any questions. Registration information will be shared closer to the opening of the 2025-2026 school year.

  • What before- and after-school programs are offered?

Following the academic calendar, various programs are available throughout the school year that extend the school day from 7:00 a.m. to as late as 6:00 p.m. each evening. Fay's Early Morning Care (7:00 - 7:30 am), and Afternoon Care (3:30 - 6:00 pm) are available to all Fay families free of charge, while enrichment clubs are available for an additional fee. • Where can I find information for boarding students, and when will I know what dorm my child is in?

Click here for resources for boarding families. Boarding students will learn which dorm they have been assigned when they arrive on campus in September.

  • Where can I shop for clothing that meets Fay's dress code?

Details about Fay's dress code are available here, as well as links to some vendors.

We also encourage all parents to check out the selection at Mooseduds, Fay School’s gently-used clothing resale shop. Mooseduds sells Fay dress code clothing for children in Kindergarten through grade nine, including blazers (for boys and girls), dress shirts, skirts, belts, and ties. Mooseduds also carries a limited supply of Moosegear (gently used sports gear) that varies on a seasonal basis. As your child outgrows his or her school dress clothing, please consider donating these items to Mooseduds. Mooseduds hours vary, but they are listed in Fay School's E-Newsletter that is sent weekly during the school year and occasionally during the summer.
  • How can I get involved as a new parent/guardian?

The Families' Association is an excellent resource for new families, and there are many volunteer opportunities for parents to become more involved in life at Fay. Please go to the Family Association page for more information.

During the first few months of school, grade-level Parent/Guardian Coffees are informal gatherings with teachers and division heads when parents can learn more about their child's school day and upcoming events. Monthly Open Family Meetings are opportunities to learn more about a particular topic of interest. Please check the school calendar for the list of dates for all of these events.
  • What about grades and progress reports?

Fay School operates on a trimester calendar: Fall, Winter, and Spring Terms. Grades and report cards are posted on our password-protected site and may be found by going to your child’s profile page. Login information will be shared with new families in mid-June. Parents and guardians will be notified via the weekly E-News when grades and report cards are available; the schedule is different for Primary, Lower and Upper School.
  • When are parent/teacher conferences?

Primary and Lower School parents and guardians and students will be able to schedule a meeting with their homeroom teachers at the opening of school. Information about how to book an appointment is made available in mid-August.

Primary School conferences are scheduled in fall, winter, and spring terms. Lower School conferences are held in the fall and spring terms and Upper School student-led conferences are scheduled in October.
  • When will I know my child's schedule?

Students schedules will be available on the first day of classes. Parents and guardians will be able to view their child's schedule when they log into our password-protected site.
