School-Year Launchpad

Gear Up for a Great Year

Fay’s School-Year Launchpad is a one-week, end-of-summer program for students entering Kindergarten through grade 9. It is designed to help students get school-ready while providing families with convenient, dependable coverage and supervision following the conclusion of FaySummer's camp programs.

Morning Summer Work - Grades 3-9 (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

Summer Launchpad offers a morning of academics designed to help students entering grades 3–9 complete their required summer math and reading assignments in a focused and supportive environment. Hosted in Fay’s Root library and nearby classrooms from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM, it is supervised by Fay faculty members Paul Abeln (English) and Christina Berthelsen (Math), who will be available during each morning to answer questions, clarify complex concepts, and meet for occasional one-on-one check-ins.

Please note that if you’re looking for focused one-on-one tutoring for your child, Summer Launchpad may not be the best fit. This program offers the opportunity for students to complete work in a focused setting designed to maximize productivity and minimize distractions.

Morning Jumpstart - Kindergarten - Grade 4 (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

Join us from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM for a morning packed with fun and connecting with Fay friends. It’s the perfect way for students to ease back into a structured school-day routine while enjoying the best of summer. Each morning, students will participate in outdoor play, indoor games, and arts and crafts projects.

Afternoon Add-On - Kindergarten - Grade 9 (12:00 - 4:00 PM)

Students may also register to stay for the afternoon to join us from 12:00 - 4:00 PM for lunch and an afternoon of sports, games, and time in Fay's Center for Creativity and Design. Students will be grouped by age and will participate in 90-minute sessions of both sports and games, and creativity and design.

Sports and Games: Join Fay favorites Jack Wong and Brad Palmer for an action-packed afternoon! Students will burn off some energy playing games, participating in friendly sports competitions, and working together in team-building challenges.

Tinker Lab: Join Mark Evans, Fay’s Director of the Center for Creativity and Design, to bring your ideas to life! In this hands-on workshop, students will step into the roles of engineers, inventors, and artists. Through a mix of high-tech tools and everyday materials, students will brainstorm, prototype, and build unique projects.
