Admission Testing

Testing for Grades 4-6

Applicants will be expected to take the iReady Diagnostic Assessment for Reading and Mathematics. These online, standardized tests are free to take and applicants will be able to take them at home. Applicants will receive their login information, username, and password from the Fay School Admission Office after the Family and Student Profile piece of the application has been submitted. Note that the deadline for completing the full application is January 15.

Testing for Grades 7-9

All applicants for Upper School, domestic and international, have the option of submitting results from an ISEE or SSAT test. Please send test results to the Office of Admission. Fay School's SSAT code is 3130 and our ISEE code is 222609.

International Applicants

Students for whom English is not their first language and/or whose education has been primarily outside of the US should take the TOEFL or TOEFL Jr. Applicants from Mainland China should click here to learn more about specific requirements. Upon test completion, please send your results to the Office of Admission. Fay School's TOEFL code is 8939. We do not accept the Duolingo exam nor the IELTS exam.
