Sharper Minds, Fewer Distractions
Following the successful pilot of a 1:1 laptop program in the Lower School this year, Fay is excited to expand this initiative through the Upper School.
Beginning Fall 2025, all students in grades 3–9 will be issued a Chromebook for use throughout the school year. Provided as part of tuition, this program ensures equitable access to a consistent digital platform and suite of applications, enabling teachers to design learning experiences that fully leverage the technology and tools that students have at their fingertips.
Fay’s new laptop program does more than level the technology playing field. To help students stay focused, the Fay Chromebooks will come preloaded with software that limits access to distracting websites, filtering out the digital noise so that students can stay engaged and on task. This new approach supports Fay’s goal of creating intentional classroom environments where students can be fully present, engage in deep learning, and continue to build the essential interpersonal, communication, and social-emotional skills that are vital to success in the classroom and beyond.
