Is your child curious about a specific sport and looking for a chance to try it out before committing to a full season? This introductory experience is the perfect first exposure! Join us on Saturday, May 10 from 9:00-10:00 AM for our lacrosse and tennis clinics!

Try It! Lacrosse
Ages 5-6 - Limited to 12 Players (Clinic Full)
Is your child curious about lacrosse but has never picked up a lacrosse stick? At this introductory experience children will learn a few of the fundamental skills, basic rules, and tactics from Fay's Director of Athletics and Head Boys Lacrosse Coach, Rob Feingold. Participants will learn how to throw, catch, cradle, dodge, shoot, and score in this fun and engaging clinic!

Try It! Tennis
Ages 9-13 - Limited to 12 Players (Clinic Full)
Join us on the courts for an immersive and fun tennis clinic that will teach players about the basic principles and rules of the game. The clinic is designed for players that have just started the sport or are considering it, and they will learn and practice basic shots and strokes as well as footwork, court positioning, and the skills needed to develop the game. The clinic will be directed by Fay’s Head Girls Tennis Coach and Senior Admission Officer, Andy Ferrara. With years of experience as a tennis professional at area clubs and coach at both the high school and collegiate levels, Andy is excited to share his knowledge and introduce new players to the game of tennis.

Cost: Free!

Who Can Attend: The programs are designed for 5-6 year olds (lacrosse) and 9-12 year olds (tennis). For the tennis clinic, parents and guardians are welcome to stay, but are not required to do so. A release form will be required if parents/guardians leave campus.

What to Bring: All equipment will be provided by Fay School, but participants should bring their own water bottle. 

Parking: Please park at Brackett House, located at 31 Main Street, Southborough, MA.

Location: The tennis clinic will take place behind Brackett House at Fay's tennis courts. The lacrosse clinic will take place on Fay's quad, which is located a short walk across the street from Brackett House. Click here for a campus map.

Meet our Coaches

Rob Feingold

With almost 20 years of experience in independent school education, Rob has served as a teacher, coach, admission officer, and athletic administrator. Rob became Fay's Athletic Director in 2011, and in this role, he oversees the K-4 physical education program as well as the 5-9 interscholastic athletic programs. Rob works daily with the Athletic Department staff, students, faculty, and coaches to ensure that all Fay students have a positive athletic experience at Fay. In addition to his primary role as athletic director, Rob also coaches boys varsity lacrosse.

Andy Ferrara

Andy joined Fay's Office of Admission in 2016 and serves in the capacity of Senior Admission Officer. His early work experience included positions as a classroom teacher at such area schools as Tenacre Country Day School, Park School, and Pike School. Prior to joining Fay, he worked for 14 years as Grade 6 and 7 humanities teacher, Middle School Dean of Students, and Associate Director of Admissions at the Brimmer and May School. At Fay, Andrew finds it gratifying to work with families through the admission process and help them to begin a journey and partnership that will positively impact their lives. In addition to his admissions work at Fay, he coaches girls' varsity tennis.
