Digital Media Intern

September 2026 through January 2027

Description:
The Digital Media Specialist Intern will work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communication and the Assistant Director of Marketing and Communications to create visual and written materials that support Fay’s admission and marketing efforts. This is a temporary, leave coverage position. The Intern reports to the Director of Marketing and Communications. 

Successful candidates will have effective communication skills, sound judgment, and resourcefulness. The ability to work independently is essential. The normal work schedule is 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday 8:00 – 4:00. This is a non-exempt, temporary position that is eligible for overtime.

Qualifications:
Candidates must be working toward or have a bachelor’s degree. Candidates must be team players;  they should possess strong experience with photography and video and some experience with graphic design. Experience using social media including Instagram, Facebook, Linkedin, and YouTube is required. Candidates must have strong writing and communication skills. Candidates must be comfortable working in a multicultural setting with a strong commitment to equity and inclusion. The ability to work efficiently, quickly, and accurately is vital as is the ability to respond positively and productively to feedback.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Create video content to support Fay School’s marketing strategy
  • Take photographs of classroom activities and campus events
  • Write posts and update social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) to support the School’s brand strategy
  • Organize and maintain the media archives
  • Complete basic design assignments, including school programs, banners and signs, ads, and flyers
  • Update web content
  • Assist with the promotion of events as needed
