Fay School is seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking educator to partner in reimagining how digital skills, design thinking, emerging technologies, and purposeful creativity can support students in Grades 3–9. This is a unique opportunity for a creative, collaborative educator—or someone with a non-traditional teaching background—to focus on digital and interdisciplinary learning. This educator is prepared to teach foundational digital skills for confident, creative, and safe technology use and to lead and grow our robotics initiatives, inspiring students to participate in robotics teams.
This position may be structured as part-time or full-time, depending on the selected candidate's interests and availability.
Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in education, instructional technology, computer science, or a related field is required. Preferred qualifications include teaching experience in computer science, robotics, maker education, media arts, AI education, digital and information literacy, and/or creative technology. Candidates with non-traditional backgrounds, industry experience, or expertise gained outside of formal education settings are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities may include:

Designing and teaching student-centered experiences in partnership with the Creativity & Design Department

Teaching digital skills and concepts to elementary and/or middle school students

Assessing student performance and providing feedback that supports growth and development

Co-creating new programs or pilots aligned with the school’s strategic vision

Participating in department and school-wide innovation initiatives

Collaborating with grade-level and departmental colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning

Leading robotics teams
