Athletics play a vital role in the educational program at Fay School. Fay’s core value of Wellness of Mind, Body, and Spirit sets the foundation of our athletics program. Participation in the athletics program builds character, instills the values of teamwork and cooperation, and promotes sportsmanship and fair competition. Our teams strive to win, but winning is not the only emphasis of sports at Fay.  Students participate in athletics at Fay to develop skills and compete, build self-confidence, and learn valuable life lessons through the experience of being part of a team.  
We seek an experienced and motivated individual with a background in coaching and a deep understanding of how young people learn. The position requires youth-level or higher wrestling coaching experience and excellent organizational, communication, and public relations skills. In addition to expertise in all aspects of wrestling, candidates must understand the developmental needs of middle school-age students.
Responsibilities include:
  • Coaching after school (approximately 2:00-6:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, and three Saturday Tournaments.
  • Organizing the coaching and playing environments and establishing routines that support students’ athletic skill acquisition and development
  • Partnering with the Director of Athletics to create a safe and successful team environment.
  • Working with Fay School teachers and families as partners in the pursuit of students’ “wellness of mind, body, and spirit,” a core value of the School
