Description:
The
Early Learning Center (ELC) at Fay School seeks a dynamic and flexible substitute teacher across our six classrooms. The ELC is a high-quality program that educates children ages 2 years 9 months through 5 years with developmentally appropriate lessons and activities. The substitute will work closely with lead teachers, assistant teachers, classroom aides, and the ELC leadership to provide and maintain a nurturing consistent environment that meets with children’s cognitive, emotional, social, and physical needs.
This position is on an as-needed basis, depending on the coverage needs and your availability.
Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required and at least one year of professional experience beyond graduation.

Candidates working towards a bachelor's degree or have completed a bachelor’s degree in a related field and previous experience working with children in a camp, school, or childcare setting are preferred.
Responsibilities:

Support the mission, philosophy, and core values of the ELC

Assist in the implementation of educational activities and experiences under the guidance of lead or assistant teachers and aides

Prepare and maintain a classroom environment that supports inquiry and discovery
