Early Learning Center Part-Time Substitute

Description:
The Early Learning Center (ELC) at Fay School seeks a dynamic and flexible substitute teacher across our six classrooms. The ELC is a high-quality program that educates children ages 2 years 9 months through 5 years with developmentally appropriate lessons and activities. The substitute will work closely with lead teachers, assistant teachers, classroom aides, and the ELC leadership to provide and maintain a nurturing consistent environment that meets with children’s cognitive, emotional, social, and physical needs. 
This position is on an as-needed basis, depending on the coverage needs and your availability.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required and at least one year of professional experience beyond graduation.
  • Candidates working towards a bachelor's degree or have completed a bachelor’s degree in a related field and previous experience working with children in a camp, school, or childcare setting are preferred. 
Responsibilities:
  • Support the mission, philosophy, and core values of the ELC
  • Assist in the implementation of educational activities and experiences under the guidance of lead or assistant teachers and aides
  • Prepare and maintain a classroom environment that supports inquiry and discovery
  • Ensure a safe and secure classroom environment
  • Actively support and promote a school culture of equity, inclusion, and belonging.
