Color Competition

The Color Competition is Saturday, May 3, 2025

    • Color Competition

Students in all grades will represent their color team in a variety of field games held on Parkerville fields. The games are organized by grade and/or division, with students moving around the fields from one event to the next. All students will participate in an all-school, Red/White photo at the beginning of the competition.

Schedule

8:30 a.m.                          Students must be accompanied by at least one parent
Students assemble:
  • Kindergarten students gather in the Primary Multi-Purpose Room. 
  • Grades 1 and 2 students gather in the field next to the Primary School playground.
  • Lower School students gather on the Quad.
  • Upper School students gather in the Sunken Garden.                                              
8:50 a.m. Students and teachers walk to Parkerville Fields for an all-school, Red/White photo. Students should gather in the areas marked for their color teams.
9:00 a.m. Color Competition begins:
  • Obstacle Course, Cone Race, and Team Broad Jump for Kindergarten and grade nine students.
  • Field Competition rotations for Kindergarten through grade eight students. Grade nine students will join in at 9:30 a.m.
11:30 a.m.           Final Color Team "Tug-O-War" competition: grades three through nine color teams.
Parents: please do not drop off and leave your children at the Color Competition. Parent attendance is required at this event.

Student Dress 

Students should wear Spirit Dress that includes appropriate shorts or sweat pants, t-shirts and athletic shoes (cleats are not permitted)
Red/White face paint may be worn, but please do not bring or use any aerosol spray paints. Please remember sunscreen! Water stations will be provided.

Harlow Circle and Upjohn Building parking areas
Please note that Parkerville Road will be closed for a road race, and the spots alongside the field will not be available.

Pets

Please leave your pets at home - pets (leashed or unleashed) are not permitted at this event.

School Store
The PA will also have a sampling of School Store merchandise available for purchase on Parkerville Field. If you're looking to stock up on some of the new Fay merchandise available this spring, or to get your red and white spirit gear before the Color Competition, the School Store is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.


    After the event, food and drinks will be available for purchase via credit card from Anzio's Pizza and Juniper Farms food trucks in Upjohn Circle courtesy of the Fay Families Association.
