Computers: Requirements & Policy

List of 3 items.

  • Upper School

Students in grades 7 through 9 are required to bring their own computer to school for use during the academic day. All computers or mobile devices will be registered with the Technology department once connected to the campus network.  This will ensure they are correctly secured and configured for use at Fay School.

During orientation day on Tuesday, September 3, please visit the TECH WELCOME AREA to connect and register your computers, or get help with any other technology needs.

Please CLICK HERE to download the recommended specifications for your Windows PC or Apple MAC laptop.

For computer technology or antivirus software purchases, Fay School has partnered with GovConnection to create a customized program for parents or students to purchase recommended technology at a discounted price. Visit the program webpage at: https://www.govconnection.com/fayschool

If you have any questions please email the Technology department at servicedesk@fayschool.org to ensure a support request is created and assigned appropriately.
  • Lower School

Students in grades 3 through 6 are not required to bring their own laptops or tablets. All necessary technology is provided and supported by Fay School.
  • Acceptable Use Policy

Students are responsible for looking after their personal technology. Use of the School’s technology, including computers, email, and tablets, must adhere to the Acceptable Use Policy as written in the Parent and Student Handbook. School owned resources are to be used for educational purposes only.

Cell phones may not be used during the school day.

Please contact the Technology Department (servicedesk@fayschool.org), with any questions regarding technology use at Fay School.
