The Fay After School Extended Day
program provides care and enrichment for students in Pre-K through grade four, five days a week from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Students may attend one to five days per week for a half-afternoon (until 4:30 p.m.) or a full afternoon. Drop-ins are also welcome. Students in Fay After School also participate in games, arts and crafts, and projects tailored to the children’s interests.
Beginning Fall 2017, third and fourth graders enrolled in Extended Day will have the opportunity to participate in Senior Moose, a program supervised by the third and fourth grade teachers. Senior Moose will run from dismissal to 4:30 p.m. each afternoon and take place in the Root Building: it will include time for snack, homework completion, outdoor play, and student-centered activities. At 4:30, students who need to stay later join the Extended Day students in the Primary Building until they are picked up.
Students in grades five through nine (all of whom participate in after-school athletics each day) may attend Supervised Study Hall
following athletics until 6:00 p.m.
There are three trimesters of Extended Day for the 2016-2017 academic year:
Trimester I: 9/7/2016 - 11/17/2016
Trimester II: 11/29/2016 - 3/9/2017
Trimester III: 3/28/2017 - 6/7/2017
