Campus is closed for the entire duration of our school vacations. If you are unable to have your child travel home over the vacation, please use the resources below to coordinate alternate arrangements.

Fay-Sponsored Trips

The World Language Department is pleased to sponsor two language trips this year – a trip over the Midwinter Weekend to Quebec and a trip over the Spring Vacation to France! Please note that while each trip focuses of a language offered in our World Language Department, the trips are open to all Upper School students regardless of their language of study.

Midwinter Weekend Quebec Trip
Students will head north to the province of Montreal during the Carnaval de Quebec celebration! Students will have the opportunity to explore the French language and the history of Quebec City. This trip will take place for the duration of the Midwinter Weekend vacation. International families will be responsible for obtaining any necessary travel visas for Canada. Please use this link to determine whether or not your child will need a visa to travel to Canada. Please click here for an itinerary for the trip. If you have any questions, please contact Alina Argueta at aargueta@fayschool.org.

Spring Vacation France Trip
Students will embark on an unforgettable educational travel experience in France for ten days over the Spring Vacation. Throughout the trip, students will discover the evolution of various French architectural styles. The trip also aims to provide the opportunity for students to become familiar with forms of art and cooking unique to certain regions of France through hands on workshop participation and culinary experiences. Additionally, students will gain a sense of the interconnectedness of American and French history as they explore the American War Cemetery and Omaha Beach. Of course, our French language students will have ample opportunity to practice their skills with native speakers!

The trip will take place from March 13 - 22, 2017. It is important to note that this trip will not last for the entire duration of the Spring Vacation. Campus will be closed from noon on March 11 through 3:00 p.m. on March 27. Families should plan on making arrangements for students both before and after the trip as they will not be able to stay at Fay.

Please click here for a detailed itinerary of the trip.

Please contact Alina Argueta, the World Languages Department Chair, at aargueta@fayschool.org for more information regarding the language trips and how to participate. Space is limited so please inquire soon!
