Depending on an international boarding student's level of proficiency, he or she may be placed in Fay's English Language Program, which provides differentiated instruction to build students' English reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
Students in the English Language Program take three courses, listed below, which take the place of the standard English and history courses for that grade level. It is typically expected that after completing one year of the English Language Program, the student will be ready to take part in Fay’s mainstream English curriculum.
Students in the ELP program follow the mainstream track in math, science, and the arts.Ninth grade students admitted to the English Language Program
have opportunities to take foreign language courses. Please contact the Admission Office for more information.
