Ideas&Insights - Dan Goods

"Seeing the Unseen" with Dan Goods

Dan Goods is a creative person to his core. After graduating from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, Goods had the amazing opportunity to create his own job at NASA’s famed Jet Propulsion Laboratory, where he currently works as a visual strategist. He runs a creative studio, works on art pieces that speak to the incredible discoveries that NASA makes, and collaborates with their visionaries to brainstorm future missions. His ability to combine design, art, and data gives him a unique perspective on the importance of creative problem solving in our everyday lives.

Dan Goods also has his own studio where he collaborates on personal creative projects around the world. He won an International Design Excellence Award for his work on the eCLOUD, a 110-foot long digital sculpture at the San Jose International Airport. His other works include large-scale art projects at the Atlanta International Airport, SIAS International University in China and BMW in Paris.

Dan Goods is on the board of the Caltech Management Association and ITACCUS (International Astronautical Federation’s Technical Activities Committee for the Cultural Utilization of Space), and he is an advisor to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Art and Technology program.

Dan Goods’ love for the big ideas and questions about humanity has landed him award-winning recognition. He has been profiled in The Los Angeles Times, Fortune Magazine, Leonardo magazine and the National Endowment for the Arts Magazine, and he has been named “One of the Most Interesting People in Los Angeles” by LA Weekly.
