Fay School Summer Programs
Summer at Fay is an exciting time of year!
We are pleased to offer three different programs for children, utilizing our wonderful facilities and delivered by our outstanding faculty and staff. Fay School provides the same administrative support for the summer programs as it does for its school year program, and all programs adhere to the School’s Mission of educating the whole child to his or her fullest potential in preparation for a productive and fulfilled life.
The goal of our summer programs is to provide young people with meaningful experiences built upon personal relationships with professionals who are focused on the well-being of each child.
Whether your child needs a two week or eight week Summer Camp experience, a little extra time and focus on reading skills, or an intensive English as a Second Language program for six weeks, Fay School’s summer programs offer a variety opportunities for local and international students.

FAY SCHOOL SUMMER DAY CAMP 2008
Join the Fun!
The Fay School offers a co-ed day camp for children ages 4 through 12. The camp season consists of four two-week sessions and runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Extended care is available at an additional cost from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM and from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT PROGRAM | SUMMER SESSION
The Summer Session of Fay’s International Student Program is designed to enrich international students use of English and to provide an academic and cultural introduction to Fay School.

FAY SCHOOL | SUMMER INSTITUTE
The Fay School Summer Institute provides enrichment and instruction in reading, writing, math, foreign language, study skills, and tutorials to students entering grades two through nine. Programs are individually designed to meets students' unique learning needs and curricular. Students may enroll in the complete morning program or fit individual courses into their experience at Fay Day Camp.

Employment Opportunities
Becoming a part of the Fay School Summer Programs can be a rewarding way to spend your summer! When you become a staff member of Fay's Summer Programs, you will have the chance to make a difference in the lives of others. As a staff member, you will have the opportunity to instill in young people the important skills that will help them in whatever they do later in life. Such essential skills include leadership, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and behavior management. Most of all, however, you will provide children with an exciting summer of fun and learning.
JOB OPPORTUNITIES
The Fay Day Camp has the following Nonexempt (Seasonal) staff positions available for summer, 2008:
Adventure Specialist- Deliver adventure challenge activities that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the campers’ age and abilities. Assist in the management to the physical operation of the adventure challenge facilities and equipment. Must show relevant training and experience with field games, high and low ropes course elements and managing a group on a rock wall. References and proof of competencies/skills required. The Fay School maintains its own ropes course and rock wall on campus.
Arts Specialist w/ Drama Experience - The specialist is responsible for planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out drama activities within the arts curriculum
Athletics Specialist – Deliver sports activities that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the campers’ age and abilities. Assist in the management to the physical operation of the field sports equipment and facilities.
Athletics Counselor (Archery) - The Counselor will assist with deliver of the archery program appropriate for the age and ability of the campers.
Counselor - Counselors are the primary caregivers for each camper. The Counselor is responsible for planning, teaching, coordinating, and carrying out activities and guiding campers in their personal growth and daily living skills.
Lifeguard – Must have current lifesaving/guard certificate and/or water safety instructor as well as current CPR certificate, basic first aid and safety training Experience in working with youth teaching stroke correction and swim techniques is recommended.

2008-2009 ACADEMIC YEAR POSITION
Fay After School Program Associate
The Fay School is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Fay After School Program Associate for the 2008-2009 academic year. The candidate will provide supervision and age-appropriate activities for Fay School students in grades one through four from school dismissal at 3:00PM until 5:30PM, Monday through Friday during the academic year. The Associate shall report to the Director of Fay After School Program. Qualifications should include experience with working with primary school children and the physical ability to participate in activities with students. The candidate must be organized, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate a high degree of professionalism and attention to safety. All candidates will be required to submit CORI/SORI information.
