Welcome! We are delighted that you are considering a Fay School education for your child. We are eager to get to know you, so please fill out our
online inquiry form. In turn, we invite you learn more about Fay School.
Located 25 miles from Boston in historic Southborough, Massachusetts, Fay School is a coeducational day and boarding school for 450 students in pre-kindergarten through grade nine. Fay’s boarding program serves 100 students in grades six through nine from throughout the United States and more than 15 foreign countries, contributing to a truly multicultural campus community.
Founded in 1866, Fay is the nation’s oldest junior boarding school. To this day, our school community is still based on traditional core values of Academic Excellence, Earnest Effort, Honorable Conduct, Dedicated Service, and Wellness of Mind, Body, and Spirit. We invite you to visit our School to see how these values play out every day in all corners of our beautiful, 66-acre campus.
Come sit in on our small classes—the backbone of our broad and balanced academic program—in which students form close relationships with their adult role models. Take a student-led tour and ask about the wide range of athletic, artistic, extracurricular and service opportunities. Peek in on our morning meeting, buzzing with community-minded student citizens who embrace leadership and take initiative. Visit our dining room where students, engaged in family-style meals with faculty, demonstrate accountability and responsibility within the larger community. Come feel the energy of a learning community that is all about “serious fun.”
Visiting our campus truly is the best way to get to know the Fay School community. You can make an appointment to see us by contacting the
